New Improved Sound For Motor Vehicles Coming

Swedish Audio company Dirac have updated their automotive Virtuo audio solution, adding a number of features to improve audio performance in the car.

The key feature of the new update is In-Car Sound Optimization. Borrowing DNA from Dirac Live for home theatres, the new feature reduces cabin car sound, providing better and interruption free speaker performance.

Virtuo now also features Soundstage Widening, Target Sound Management, Center Image Optimization for improved and consistent sound via a center channel for all vehicle occupants, Surround Sound, Multichannel Content Support and Upmixer Technology.

Dirac have also introduced their Intelligent Audio Platform for Automotive, which is a digital system for manufacturers and developers creating audio applications. The platform is included with Dirac Virtuo, allowing developers to optimize their applications across the entire product line. Features include frequency response correction, dynamic range processing, theatre modes and more.

Dirac currently have their automotive solutions fitted to BMW, BYD, Polestar, Rolls Royce and Volvo vehicles.
