Dicker Data Posts $1.3B FY Revenue, Profit Up 5%, Aus Arm Strong

ASX-listed hardware distributor, Dicker Data, has posted a full-year revenue of $1.3 billion, with net profit after tax climbing 5% to $25.6 million.

EBITDA for the year notched $48.1 million, versus $45.4 million in 2016.

The company distributes brands such as ASUS, BenQ, SONY, Fujitsu, LG and Samsung.

For the twelve months to December 31st, the Sydney-based distributor added 18 new vendors, which it claims contributed $87 million in new revenue.

Dicker Data finished up the year with $120 million in additional revenue, up from $1.18 billion in total revenue recorded the year before.

The distributor’s Australian operations soared from $116.1 million to $1.17 billion, whilst its New Zealand arm climbed $3.8 million to $131.5 million.

Throughout the year, Dicker Data inked several new vendor partnerships with the likes of BenQ, Dell EMC, Juniper Networks, Venom Computers, Gigabyte, Trend Micro, Seagate and more.

The new vendor additions likely offset losses attributed with the termination of Cisco’s distributor agreement with Dicker Data New Zealand.

By the end of the year, Dicker Data’s employee numbers hit 410.
