Denon has unveiled two new premium AV receivers aimed at Australian home theatre enthusiasts and custom installers, with the launch of the AVC-X3900H and AVR-X2900H ahead of an early June release.

The next-generation X Series models have been designed for users seeking more power, advanced calibration and greater flexibility for multi-room entertainment systems and dedicated cinema rooms.

Leading the range is the $2,699 AVC-X3900H, a 9.4-channel receiver delivering 105 watts per channel with support for 11.4-channel processing. The unit supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, AURO-3D, IMAX Enhanced and Sony 360 Reality Audio, alongside 4K and 8K HDMI connectivity.

Denon is also targeting professional integrators with advanced bass management, directional subwoofer optimisation and optional upgrades to the Dirac Live room correction suite.

The more affordable AVR-X2900H, priced at $1,799, offers a 7.2-channel configuration with 95 watts per channel and support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X processing.

Both models include HEOS multi-room streaming, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity and Audyssey room calibration technology, with optional Dirac Live upgrades available.

Denon says the new receivers are focused on “refinement and scalability”, allowing users to expand systems with additional speakers, channels and rooms over time.

The launch comes as demand for high-end home entertainment systems continues to grow, driven by larger TVs, immersive gaming and premium streaming services capable of delivering Dolby Atmos and high-resolution audio content.

Both models will be available in black from early June.
