D-Link Releases Wireless AC1200 4G LTE Router, Ideal For Remote Workers
D-Link ANZ’s launch of its DWR-956 – a wireless AC1200 4G LTE Router with Gigabit Ethernet Ports and VoIP capability – could not be more timely.
With hundreds of thousands of Australians now self-isolating due to COVID-19, the DWR-956 can provide the connectivity speeds needed to efficiently work from home. The device is now available from dlink.com.au for $349.95.
Equipped with a built-in LTE modem, the DWR-956 can facilitate fast downlink speeds of up to 150Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 50Mbps, by inserting your existing SIM into the SIM slot.
With this router you can easily create a high-speed network at your home or any area where you need instant internet connectivity. It is a highly portable device as well, perfect if you work on the go.
The fast AC1200 wireless network can handle speeds of up to 1167Mbps. It has a user-friendly web-based interface that makes it easy to configure all your parameters – you can even set it up on your smartphone.
In terms of security, the DWR-956 includes a built-in firewall, which minimises hacker attacks, prevent intrusions to your network and blocks access to unwanted websites for users on your LAN. It also supports IPsec and allows you to create secure VPN tunnels to your corporate or school network, an important feature for those working remotely.
In addition, the dual band DWR-956 supports advanced security standards including WPA/WPA2, MAC address filtering, WPS and WMM.
You can create a guest Wi-Fi network, which has different security settings to the main Wi-Fi network. Devices that are connected to the guest network will also be isolated from other devices.
The router supports seamless firmware upgrades, continually improving security and functionality.
