D-Link Launches Unified Wireless Access Point For Business

D-Link ANZ has launched its new Unified Wireless Access Point specially designed for businesses of all sizes.

The new DWL-7620AP Unified AC Wave 2 supports administrators looking to deploy a medium to large-scale Wi-Fi network with manageable Tri-Band wireless LAN options and utilising the speed of Wireless AC Wave 2.

The DWL-7620AP leverages the full potential of 802.11ac Wave 2 to provide connectivity with ultra-high combined data rates.

It delivers combined speeds of up to 2.2Gbps and supports Link Aggregation to allow for two Gigabit Ethernet ports to be linked.

It also comes with 2.4GHz and two 5GHz wireless bands to support a growing number of devices connecting to a single access point.

Tri-Band technology allows older 802.11b/g/n devices to connect to the 2.4GHz band, while two 5GHz bands can be dedicated to newer wireless AC devices for seamless bandwidth-intensive applications.

MU-MIMO support also allows the DWL-7620AP to simultaneously communicate with multiple clients using multiple antennas, dramatically improving wireless performance.

Like other Unified Access Points, the DWL-7620AP can be centrally managed when working in conjunction with D-Link Unified Controllers.

In terms of network management, up to 16 APs may be used to form a cluster, making it easier to set up a business wireless network.

The DWL-7620AP is now available from the D-Link website and from all authorised D-Link partners in Australia and New Zealand for $729.95.
