China Threatens iPhone sales
Apple iPhones and other US goods could suffer sales hits in China if President-elect Donald Trump goes through with plans of introducing large import tariffs on Chinese products. China has issued the warning through a state-backed newspaper, the Global Times.
In his campaign for the presidency, Trump proposed a 45 percent import tariff on all Chinese goods, but failed to outline how it would work.
The Global Times said China would take a “tit-for-tat” approach if the proposal comes into effect. Sales of iPhones, Boeing orders and US cars would suffer a setback.
