CES 2020: Lenovo Jumps Into Creator Market New Notebooks & Desktops

Lenovo has jumped into the ‘Creator’ market with a new range of powerful PC’s launched at CES 2020.

As demand for video and content creation grows Lenovo has joined the likes of Acer, MSI and Dell in delivering machines that have been specifically configured to deliver better performance over the average notebook or desktop PC.

The Company has introduced the Yoga Creator 7 and IdeaPad Creator 5 notebooks aimed at the on-the-go digital content creation.

The new machines have a 10th-generation Intel Core processor, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage, and the “latest” Nvidia mobile graphics cards built in.

They also come with 15.6-inch full HD display with optional 100-percent sRGB colour gamut support.

The IdeaPad Creator 5 has a colour gamut option that is 100-percent Adobe RGB instead of sRGB.

A little thicker than the Yoga and is equipped with a smaller battery (8 hours versus 13 hours).

Both systems have Lenovo Q-Control and Intelligent Cooling technology to boost performance.

The casing is built around a dark moss chassis that’s different from traditional black and grey laptops.

The IdeaCentre Creator 5 keeps that colour scheme for its case, along with a bit of a geometric design to make it stand out from the average desktop tower.

For faster productivity, Lenovo Smart Assist on the Yoga Creator 7 enables hands-free login and auto-logoff via the infrared camera with Windows Hello or its integrated fingerprint reader.

Due to Modern Standby, content writers can lift their Yoga laptop’s lid to have their emails and notifications at the ready without waiting for their system to reboot. And they can ask Amazon® Alexa® to spell any word with their favourite downloaded dictionary skill from across the room.5

Also coming later this year to Yoga Creator 7 and to Lenovo PCs with Windows 10 are even more Alexa features6 such as the ability to broadcast an announcement throughout your home on active Alexa-enabled devices and a new Smart Light accessory7 that illuminates when Alexa is listening. Plus, enjoy the enhanced Smart Home feature that allows Alexa users to say just one command to activate whole groups of Internet of Things connected devices all at once, vs. one at a time.

More than just flair, Lenovo claims the case design aids in cooling and quieting the PC, which can be equipped with up to the latest Core i9 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards as well as up to 32GB of RAM and 2 terabytes of hard drive space and a terabyte of solid-state storage.
