CES 2018: LG Unveils Next-Gen Gram Laptops

Taking on Samsung’s Notebook 9 announcement, LG has offered a glimpse of its new Gram laptops, which will be fully unveiled at CES in Las Vegas early next year.

The new generation of LG Gram laptops will incorporate a 72Wh battery, which claims to offer 19 – 22.5 hours of use depending on screen size.

The 2018 LG Gram laptops will be available in either 13.3″, 14″, and 15.6″ display sizes, and will weigh 965g, 995g, and 1.095kg respectively.

LG first debuted its Gram series in 2014, and the next generation devices will feature a more compact design and slimmer bezels.

LG’s next-gen Gram laptops will be powered by 8th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, with SSD storage and a second SSD drive for additional storage.

The company claims ‘boot time’ should be under ten seconds.

The next-gen Gram laptops encompass a Nano Carbon Magnesium full metal alloy, and claim to comply with the MIL-STD-810G standard for pressure, impact, and temperature resistance.

LG’s new 2018 Gram laptops will be available in the United States next month, with further information to be provided on when they will roll out internationally.
