Spotted: Google Glasses Ride The Subway

Google co-founder Brin was spotted by subway rider Niah Zerkin, who even managed to have a quick chat with the Google billionaire, who was making his way home on Sunday.

Codenamed “Project Glass”, Google’s glasses are technology you can wear.

When you put these Augmented Reality (AR) glasses on, it will feed information across the (left lens) screen including emails, video chat, Google searches and GPS direction.

It’s basically like wearing real time glasses on your eyes. Google is working with some of the world’s top athletes on the project to “share the experience — through their eyes — with the world.”

However, Brin has admitted the glasses concept is “a premium sort of thing.”

The glasses are not available to buy just yet, but are said to be priced at around $1500 a-pop when they are released, which Google hopes will be in 2014.
