BREAKING NEWS: Top LG OZ Execs Quit

LG Electronics Australia is looking for a new head of their Home Entertainment Division after Chris Horne quit, also quitting the Company is Grant Vandenberg the former head of LG TV marketing.

ChannelNews understands that Horne is set to join Electrolux where he will work with Michael Doyle the former Sales Director at LG Electronics, while Vandenberg has quit to take up a marketing role at Brita the water filter Company.

Both executives are a major loss for LG Electronics. 

A seasoned consumer electronics executive Horne has been responsible for significant growth at LG. He is the third senior executive to quit LG during the past 12 months.Chris Horne LG

Horne joined LG in 2005 as an account executive, he then became National Key Account Manager before being appointed Group Head Home Entertainment in 2012.

Recently LG quit the networked audio market despite being one of the first brands to deliver 24bit Audio.

Helping Horne achieve growth has been a move by LG to promote OLED TV technology as the cornerstone of their home entertainment offering.

Vandenberg has been responsible for all LG OLED TV marketing which many have credited with lifting the Companies TV profile during the past 12 months.
