Big Un Chairman Hugh Massie Resigns

Big Un Chairman, Hugh Massie, has announced his resignation from the company’s board, following a slew of recent media attention over its use of databases and recent joint ventures.

The online video company remains in suspension on the ASX.

In addition to Massie’s resignation, Big Un has appointed Mr William “Bill” Knowles as an independent non-executive director. Knowles has worked at several international brokerage firms, and according to The Australian Financial Review is based in the United Kingdom.

Big Un confirms it has conducted all required criminal and background checks for its board members and senior management – including Chief Executive Richard Evertz.

Once a major founding shareholder of Big Un, Mr Massie’s resignation surrounds scrutiny as to whether he accurately disclosed his shareholdings.

In its announcement of Massie’s resignation, Big Un did not provide any remarks concerning current inquiries made by ASIC.
