BenQ Unveils New Portable Laser Projector

BenQ have revealed a new projector model, the LW650, which is similar to the LH650, except with differences in the output resolution and aspect ratio.

It weighs around 2.9KG, and is portable, yet doesn’t sacrifice quality. It features a laser light source that can deliver up to 4,000 ANSI lumens for clear visibility in various lighting conditions.

The LW650 reportedly uses strategies to cut power usage by up to 70% when compared with other projectors.

It can automatically adjust light output based on the content’s brightness, and comes with a standby mode and an automatic shutdown feature.

It supports a wide colour spectrum with 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and displays up to 1.07 billion colours.

The input resolution compatibility expands up to 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, and it has a native resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels (WXGA).

In terms of connectivity, it offers HDMI and USB-C ports.

Pricing and availability has yet to be revealed for the BenQ LW650 WXGA Laser Projector.
