Belkin Revamps Bag Lineup

Belkin have launched a range of new backpacks and messenger bags it says are “the ultimate all-in-one companion” for people on the move.

Two main styles make up the new range: the Classic Pro Backpack with a “stylish, professional design” and the Active Pro Backpack and Messenger Bag which feature a “sporty, relaxed design”.

“Our philosophy at Belkin has always centered around people inspired products and our new bag designs are exactly just that,” said Belkin’s vice president of design Oliver Seil.

“We want to do our part to make living with mobile technology more enjoyable, so it has been exciting to refresh our bag offerings globally.”

All bags in the new range feature dedicated protection for a laptop or tablet, accordion-style opening for easier access and internal organisation for ancillary items.

Externally, the bags feature adjustable mesh padded shoulder straps and a padded back panel for improved comfort, a luggage strap for fastening to a trolley or case, and pockets for easier on-the-go access.

Reflecting their name, the Active Pro Backpack and Messenger bag add additional features like a water-resistant coating on the base and reflective strips for added visibility in low light.

These bags also feature a top-loading upright design that can stand by itself without support, vertical pockets, a “hidden high-security pocket” and a loop for a bike light.

“As our lives are increasingly mobile, bags need to fit all facets of life including work, leisure, travel and school. We created bags that increase functionality and can be used in any environment at any time of the day,” Seil said.

The Active Pro Backpack and Messenger Bag retail for RRP $79.95, while the Classic Pro Backpack sells for $69.95. All of the new Belkin bags are available exclusively from Harvey Norman starting today.
