Beko ANZ has strengthened its relationship with Australian retailer Bing Lee by taking a group of staff to Thailand as part of a performance-based incentive program.

The five-day trip, held in late March, brought together store managers, sales employees and head office representatives who were recognised for strong results during the final months of 2025. Senior figures from both organisations attended, including key buying and training leaders from Bing Lee alongside Beko ANZ executives.

A central part of the visit was a tour of the Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances facility in Kabinburi, where participants were given an inside look at how products are manufactured and tested. The group observed how automated systems are combined with manual inspection processes, offering insight into how quality standards are maintained throughout production.

Attendees also had the opportunity to preview upcoming products and speak directly with representatives from the manufacturing team, gaining a clearer understanding of future developments and design priorities.

Beyond the factory visit, the group explored retail environments in Bangkok, visiting major appliance stores to study how products are displayed and marketed. Smaller breakout sessions allowed participants to engage more closely with product specialists and compare approaches to merchandising and customer interaction.

The trip also served as a way to build stronger connections between the two companies. Beko ANZ said time spent outside the usual business setting provides valuable feedback from frontline staff while helping align strategies across teams.

For several participants, it was their first time attending a program of this kind, offering a chance to share perspectives and gain new insights into both product knowledge and retail trends.

Alongside the professional activities, the group experienced local culture, food and hospitality, adding a social element to the program that organisers said helped reinforce relationships and team cohesion.
