BCF Outdoor Lantern Chargers Recalled

Product Safety Australia has recalled selected BCF-branded 240V outdoor lantern chargers (PLU 384658), citing the risk of electric shock from exposed parts.

Only chargers with batch numbers 07/2017, 11/2017 and 07/2018 are affected (batch label affixed to inside of lantern’s base compartment cover).

Product Safety Australia claims the battery charger enclosure is at risk of cracking or separating, exposing live parts.

Consumers are advised to cease using the product immediately, and to contact BCF’s Customer Care Centre (1300 880 764) for a replacement charger.

The product was sold nationally from BCF (Boating Camping Fishing) outlets between August 2017 – July 2019.
