Bauhn Launch Affordable Smartplugs With Google, Alexa

Alongside the launch of the 65-inch Bauhn TV, the company has also launched an affordable Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatible smart plug and power strip, arriving in ALDI on 30 October.

The Bauhn Smart Power Board and Smart Outlet will retail for $39.99 and $19.99 respectively from all ALDI stores.

Bauhn’s lineup of smart plugs enters the market at a strong price point, with the three-outlet power board priced similarly to single-outlet smart plugs from D-Link and Lenovo.

Controlled through the Tuya Smart app, the smart plug and smartboard also offer connected home functionality across both the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The Bauhn Smart Power Board features three USB charging ports supporting 3.1A charging in addition to the three power outlets.

Each power outlet is individually controlled through the Tuyra app, or the Google Home and Amazon Prime app, for 24/7 programmability.

Individual outlets also feature a manual on/off button, should connection issues occur on your home network.

The Bauhn Smart Wall Plug works similarly, with just one power outlet and two USB charging ports, though with only 2A charging.
