Award Winning Galaxy S7 Safe Despite False Reports
Samsung has moved to reassure owners of S7 smartphones that their devices are safe.
Competitors looking to keep the problems associated with the combusting batteries in the Galaxy Note 7 are believe to be behind a false rumour that the smaller Galaxy S7 has a problem.
One smartphone manufacturer who was fueling the rumour to ChannelNews was unable to produce any evidence of problems with the device in Australia.
“Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of the Galaxy S7 family” the company said in an official statement released at the weekend. “There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States.”
In Australia, there has been no reports of problems with the award-winning Samsung Galaxy S7 which is still a top seller at both JB Hi Fi, Telstra and Optus.
Samsung’s third quarter profits dropped by 30% in part because of the effects of Samsung’s massive recall and eventual shelving of the Galaxy S7 Note.
Recently both Stuff and Trusted Reviews in the UK voted the Samsung S7 as “Best Smartphone”.
