Aussies Warned Of MyGov Scam
Australians are being warned about a new myGov scam that asks for credit card information in order to deposit an “outstanding refund” of $640.98.
Services Australia has confirmed the emails aren’t from them.
“We will never send you an email or SMS with a hyperlink directing you to sign in to your myGov account,” the government body said.

“We’ll never ask you to open a link or a file attached to an email.
If you get an email like this, don’t open any links, download attachments or respond.”
The emails ask the user for their myGov username and password, and then prompts for full name, address, phone number, credit card information and CVV number.
