Arlo Technologies has launched Arlo Secure 6, the latest evolution of its smart home security subscription, introducing AI-driven features designed to make monitoring homes faster and more intuitive.

The new service adds Event Captions and Video Search to Arlo’s existing suite of intelligent detection tools, including Person Recognition, Vehicle Recognition, Custom Detection and Advanced Audio Detection.

While Event Captions are available immediately, Video Search will roll out in the coming months.

Event Captions automatically generate concise descriptions of detected activity, giving users a quick summary of events – from visitors arriving at the driveway to package deliveries – without needing to watch the footage.

Video Search allows users to locate specific events quickly by entering keywords, descriptions, or time ranges. The tool even supports natural language queries, letting users simply describe an event and have the corresponding footage found instantly.

The enhancements are included at no additional cost for existing Secure Plus subscribers purchased since September 2024.

A 30-day trial is available with select new Arlo devices, after which premium features, including 30-day cloud storage and advanced detection, require a subscription.

Arlo Secure 6 reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to smarter, more accessible home security, delivering context and control directly through the Arlo Secure app.
