Apple OZ Undergoes Transformation, Senior Content, Legal & Marketing Roles Advertised.
As iPhone sales tumble, Apple Australia appears be undergoing a major transformation with the big US Company advertising a bevy of local senior roles including what appears to be senior content creation position for a new Apple TV network being advertised.
Currently Apple is looking to take on Netflix, Amazon, Foxtel and Fetch with the iPhone maker investing billions in the establishment of a content creation Company.
At this stage it’s not known when their content operation will be rolled out.
At CES 2019 Samsung announced an exclusive relationship to deliver Apple iTunes content to Samsung TV’s and Samsung devices.
Currently Apple who are traditionally a very private Company are advertising on LinkedIn for an experienced attorney to lead their Asia Pacific legal team as well as a new advertising and brand manager in Australia as well as for a content business and programming manager along with several other senior positions.
It what appears to be a key content role Apple is advertising for both for a person to run their Video business in Australia & New Zealand as well as a ‘Programming Manager Video’.
The Content Manager candidate needs to have partnerships skills and prior experience working for a Movie/TV Studio or a leading broadcaster.
They must also have a deep understanding about movies & TV content and the digital media spectrum.
Apple are also are looking for an experienced attorney to lead our Asia Pacific legal team.
You will manage a seasoned team of attorneys and other legal professionals that stretches across a diverse region from Japan and Korea through Southeast Asia to Australia and New Zealand.
The team supports Apple’s commercial efforts and works closely with Apple sales and operation teams in the region as well as in the negotiation and implementation of retail contracts.
The candidate can work in Tokyo, Singapore or Sydney.
Apple are also looking for a new Marketing Communications group manager who will be responsible for what Apple are describing as “The flawless development and execution of world-class communications in support of Apple’s business goals”.
The successful candidate will report to the ‘Geo Marcom Lead’.
Recently Apple announced a major downturn in iPhone demand with retail partners such as Kogan reporting a “dramatic” fall off in demand for Apple branded products.
In Australia Apple is looking for a new Brand Manager who will need to collaborate closely across a range of functions, including Interactive, Channel & Partners, Operations, Apple Retail, iTunes, and Advertising.
Apple Australia have not said whether current staff are being replaced or why so many new roles are being advertised at the same time.
