Amazon Updates Kindle Oasis With Colour Adjustable Display

Amazon has announced an updated version of the popular Kindle Oasis that enables readers to adjust the colour temperature of the display for night reading. Available for pre-order now from $399.

Touted as Amazon’s “best Paperwhite display ever” the e-reader features a 7-inch 300ppi display with the latest e-ink tech and new colour adjustable front light.

This new feature will enable readers to adjust the colour tone from cool to warm to suit the natural light of their environment.

Readers can also schedule colour changes to update automatically depending on the time of day.

The new Kindle promises a light ergonomic build which claims to be comfortable to hold in one hand.

It also features a dedicated page turning putting and is IPX8 rated to protect against accidental falls in up to two metres of water for up to 60 minutes.

The new Kindle Oasis will start shipping July 24 online at and in-store from local retailers JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks.

It is available for pre-order now at www.amazon.com.au/kindleoasis for $399 for the 8 GB version, $449 for the 32 GB version and $559 for 32GB WAN.
