The worst-kept secret in the industry is that Google is working on a foldable Pixel phone.
Codenamed Google Pixel Fold, many expected the announcement to come in May, at the Google I/O tech conference, but the company made no mention of the Pixel Fold, or its Pixel 6 range.
Now, Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants tweeted that all this year’s forthcoming foldable devices will have the same display, manufactured by Samsung.
The Google Pixel Fold is among that list, according to Young, and will have a LTPO 7.57-inch, 120Hz panel from Samsung Display.
Also mentioned in the tweet, is a 6.7-inch Z Flip 3, a 7.55-inch Z Fold 3, a 7.1-inch foldable from Oppo, an 8.2-inch phone from Vivo and an 8.1-inch model from Xiaomi.
It is expected that Google will announce its phone in September or October, as is its tradition.
