Acer have announced their new ChromeOS-powered laptop, the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 2023.

In updates over the 2022 version, it’s powered by 13th gen Intel U series processors, and can be found in either Core i3, i5 or i7.

The processors are paired with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB LPDDR4X RAM. As for storage, it uses a 128GB PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD or 256GB / 512GB / 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. It also comes with a QHD (2K) webcam.

It has a 14″1920 x 1200 IPS LCD screen and 340 nits peak brightness level. The 360° touchscreen panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio and covers 100 per cent of the sRGB color gamut. It also supports USI stylus input.

Plus, it’s MIL-STD 810H-certified for durability, and has dual upward-firing stereo speakers and dual microphones.

Connectivity options include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 2 x USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4, 1 x USB Type-A, an HMDI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It weighs about 1.37kg and is backed by a 56 Wh battery, rated to last for up to 10 hours, and will hit the US market in May for US$699.
