A Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 phone has apparently exploded, after the user fell off a bike with the phone on his person.

Chad Christian claims the phone later exploded as he was packaging the broken device up to send to Samsung for repair.

As Christian points out, if this had happened in transit, it could have been a much bigger deal.

You may recall Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 had a similar flaw, which was a widespread manufacturing issue that saw the phone banned from planes, and eventually recalled at a massive cost to the company – north of $7 billion AUD.

Hopefully this is an isolated incident – although it doesn’t look good.
