Breville Acquires Water & Air Purification Brand

Breville has announced the acquisition of South Australian-based water and air purification distributor, Aquaport.

Purchased from Aquaport Corporation, Breville states the acquisition will provide it a new product segment across both Australian and New Zealand markets.

Aquaport Corporation specialises in this sector through its two brands, Aquaport and Cli-Mate.

General Manager of Breville ANZ, Mark O’Kelly, says “Both Cli-Mate and Aquaport have an established network of mainstream and specialist retailers that complements the Breville brand distribution”.

Mr O’Kelly also says Breville is “looking forward to integrating this business with [its] own offering” and “sharing the strategy in more detail with [their] retail partners in due course”.

Aquaport’s Chief Executive will stay on with the business, to provide category insight to the Breville team. This was negotiated as part of the acquisition.

In operation for over ten years, Aquaport first started as a water filtration business, but has since expanded to include air purification and its accessories.

The Aquaport brand includes a suite of water purification and chiller products, inclusive of desktop and under sink systems, filter taps, fridge filters, and floor standing water coolers suitable for home and office.

The Cli-Mate brand consists of a product range which includes air dryer humidifiers, air purifiers, aroma diffusers, desktop air purification systems and compressor dehumidifiers.
