Designed For Education: Lenovo Launches ThinkPad 11e Series

Designed For Education: Lenovo Launches ThinkPad 11e SeriesLenovo states the ThinkPad 11e series, with Windows or Chrome, is designed with the needs of school administrators, educators and students in mind, with the series now available with Lenovo’s Wacom Active Pen, delivering “the familiarity and simplicity of using pen and paper into a digital environment”.

Coming pre-loaded with Intel’s education software, the ThinkPad 11e series also comes with Lenovo’s WRITEit software, allowing users to write directly into any application, and REACHit, providing for file management through a single app.

“This powerful combination of innovative hardware and software will make taking notes, sending homework assignments and conducting group projects easier for students and teachers, equating to a more productive learning experience inside and outside the classroom,” Lenovo states.

The ThinkPad 11e series has also been designed to help mitigate the rigours of daily classroom activity, having been “put through rigorous testing to simulate such environments”.

The ThinkPad 11e series sports an HD display in an 11.6″ ultra-portable frame, with the YOGA 11e also featuring Corning Gorilla Glass to protect from heavy use of its 10-point multi-touch screen.

“The innovation featured in our latest ThinkPad 11e laptops – like the Active Pen technology and WRITEit software – offer a more natural device interaction in the classroom for both students and teachers,” Lenovo Australia & New Zealand ThinkPad product manager Simon Kent stated of the new series.

Pricing for the New ThinkPad 11e and ThinkPad YOGA 11e models will start from $599, ranging up to $1,399 for premium Intel Core M performance and the Wacom Active Pen.
