Nexus 5X Sales Commence In Key Markets
The Nexus 5X, LG’s third collaborative effort with Google, was unveiled last month along with the Nexus 6P (built by Google in collaboration with Huawei), with LG today advising the Nexus 5X is now on sale in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, India, Korea and Japan.
Additional markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America are set to see the rollout of the Nexus 5X in the weeks to come.
The first smartphone to market running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Nexus 5X sports a full-HD IPS (1920 x 1080) display, is powered by a 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, and comes with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and internal storage of either 16 or 32 GB.
The Nexus 5X sports a 12.3 MP main camera and 5 MP front camera, and is equipped with a USB Type-C port for fast charging and a new fingerprint sensor, Nexus Imprint, designed for quick and secure phone access.
“Nexus devices are about having the newest, purest Android experience possible in an advanced package that doesn’t break the bank,” Juno Cho, LG Electronics Mobile Communications president and CEO, commented.
“The Nexus 5X was designed from the ground up to live up to the expectations of the millions of Android purists worldwide who won’t accept second best. After two successful collaborations, we think customers will agree that this is our best Nexus to date.”
