HTC Could Unveil M9 Smartphone And Smartwatch In March
The M9 will be equipped with a 20 MP rear camera and an UltraPixel front camera, Bloomberg reported the person as stating, while the smartwatch will link with athletic clothing and equipment company Under Armour’s fitness service.
A strategic partnership between HTC and Under Armour was announced earlier this month during CES 2015.
The M9 resembles the M8 in size and design, with gold, gray and silver options, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Bloomberg reported the person as stating, and will include Dolby 5.1 audio technology and HTC’s Sense 7 user interface.
The release of the M9 and the smartwatch will take place around the time of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, according to the report.
There has been recent speculation about HTC’s next smartphone offerings, with Portuguese website 4GNews last week reporting sources as stating HTC is working on a 5.5″ phablet called the HTC Hima Ace Plus.
HTC earlier this month released its 2014 fourth quarter unaudited consolidated results, seeing both revenue and profit rise year-on-year.
