Sennheiser Reveals New Wi Fi, Bluetooth Urbanite Headphones At CES 2015
The Urbanite XL WIRELESS headphones add Bluetooth and NFC capability to the Urbanite range which is one of the fastest selling premium headphones in Australia has 25 hours battery life which make them good for a Sydney to Europe flight.
Dr. Christian Ern, Director Product Management Consumer, Sennheiser Communications said “With the new URBANITE XL WIRELESS, consumers can now take their bass-driven sound with them and wirelessly connect, they have incredible battery life, and touch control.
The new headphones have the latest apt-X codec that delivers clear, CD-quality sound.
NFC technology allows easy Bluetooth pairing to NFC-compatible devices when the headset is in close proximity to an NF enabled device.
Also built in is a state-of-the-art touch control panel on the right ear cup that makes it possible to adjust the volume and skip to the next track by sliding a finger across the panel or tapping it. This is similar to the new Samsung headphones.
Touch controls can also be used to receive and make calls on a connected phone.
Touch control is enhanced by voice prompts that provide all necessary information about the status of the headphones. Crystal clear sound quality is ensured by dual microphones within the ear cups that continuously monitor ambient noise to dynamically cancel out external interference for clearer speech.
A universal detachable cable is also supplied with an integrated remote and microphone for controlling the music and taking calls on the move.
It is not known when the new headphones will be launched in Australia but they are expected to sell for between $499 and $599.
