HTC Confirms One M9 and M9+ To Get Android M
HTC, which last year was also quick to confirm the rollout of Android Lollipop to its flagship devices, announced via Twitter that the M9 and M9+ are in line for the rollout, with other devices set to follow.
“We’re excited to announce that the HTC One M9 and M9+ will be updated to Android M, with more devices to be announced soon!” HTC tweeted following Google’s announcement of Android M at its 8th annual Google I/O developer conference. Google has yet to confirm a release date for Android M, which will come with a host of new features and upgrades, including improved battery life and streamlined permissions for apps. Google is also set to introduce Android Pay, allowing users to make in-store payments with their smartphone, taking on the likes of Apple’s Apple Pay in the growing mobile payments market. |
