Nikon D5500 DSLR Picks Up EISA Award
It is the second award the D5500 has picked up this year, having in April received recognition from the Technical Image Press Association, claiming the Best Digital SLR Entry Level award.
“It is a huge honour for our Nikon D5500 to be recognised as EISA’s consumer DSLR camera of the year,” James Murray, Nikon Australia director of sales & marketing, commented.
“The D5500 was designed for aspiring photographers seeking creative shooting possibilities in everyday life, so it is fantastic to hear that our customers agree and recognise the abilities of the D5500 in helping them to achieve their photographic pursuits.”
The D5500 sports an effective pixel count of 24.2 MP, and features an Expeed 4 image-processing engine and a DX-format CMOS sensor, built without an optical low-pass filter. It features a touchscreen vari-angle LCD monitor, and is additionally equipped with built-in Wi-Fi.
