New Garmin vivosmart HR Activity Tracker Keeps Users ConnectedThe vivosmart HR sports an always-on, sunlight-readable display, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, tracks steps, calories and distance, counts floors climbed and measures activity intensity, and, when paired with a compatible smartphone, allows users to receive texts, calls, email, calendar and social media alerts.

It reminds users when they’ve been sitting too long, learns their current activity level and creates a customised daily step goal, and users can also manually set floors climbed and activity intensity goals.

It also allows users to control the music on their smartphone and send a signal to help locate their smartphone when it has been misplaced, and can remote control a Garmin VIRB camera (sold separately).

The vivosmart HR automatically syncs with the Garmin Connect mobile app for iPhone or Android, providing daily information and trends over time, and which can be linked to a MyFitnessPal account, automatically syncing calorie and nutritional information.

The vivosmart HR will be available in Australia in early-to-mid November in black, imperial purple and midnight blue for $229 RRP.
