Epson Launch Cost-Saving Printer For Businesses

Epson Australia have introduced a new Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS) printer that the company said offers businesses fast and high-quality printing while reducing costs.

The WorkForce Pro WF-C869R is able to print in both black and colour at speeds of up to 35 pages per minute, and at 600 x 600 dpi resolution for prints on standard media and 4,800 x 1,200 dpi when using special media.

PrecisionCore technology powers the fast printing speeds and does not involve heat, which removes the need to wait for the printer to warm up and allows the first page to be printed in 6 seconds.

“The new WorkForce Pro WF-C869R brings a new level of productivity and cost efficiency to its users,” said Epson Australia’s General Manager, Business Division Craig Heckenberg.

“Epson RIPS printers also continue to surpass laser printers in terms of the lower environmental impact and greater cost savings they bring, as well as the reduced overall total cost of ownership with the minimal maintenance required.”

Compared to a laser printer, the Replaceable Ink Pack System of the WorkForce Pro WF-C869R minimises running costs by delivering up to 22,500 pages in black and 22,000 pages in colour when using standard ink packs.

Large ink packs are also available with up to 86,000 pages in black and 84,000 pages in colour. The printer supports a large variety of paper types, sizes and weights from 64 to 256 gsm.

Additional features include Epson Connect for printing directly to smart devices and to the cloud using Epson iPrint, NFC connectivity for printing from a compatible device and Epson Device Admin for monitoring, managing and configuring the WorkForce Pro WF-C869R and other printers within a network.

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C689R is available now from authorised Epson channel partners and resellers. More information can be found on the Epson website.
