TripAdvisor Plans New Oz Move
“We certainly hope to use Australia as a bit of a base to further expand into Asia,” Stephen Kaufer told Australian IT an interview from the group’s Boston HQ,
Kaufer said TripAdvisor’s acquisition this year of Dimmi, an online restaurant reservation company backed by Telstra and Village Roadshow, meant it now has a new base to drive restaurant reservations services in the region.
Dimmi has a network of more than 2500 bookable restaurants across Australia and has been integrated into Trip-Advisor’s restaurant division, which claims to have more than two million restaurants worldwide on its database.
TripAdvisor currently has an Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore and a offices in Sydney and Brisbane.
