New iPhones Expected September 9: What Else Will Apple Unveil?

New iPhones Expected September 9: What Else Will Apple Unveil?Invitations have been sent out, while Apple has a webpage up here, via which users can access a live stream of the event.

The rumours have been flying thick and fast, with Apple stoking speculation with its tagline: “Hey Siri, give us a hint.” Siri doesn’t appear to be offering up any solid leads as of yet, with the countdown now on to the unveiling of Apple’s next-gen iPhones.

Dubbed the iPhone 6s, Bloomberg has previously reported people with knowledge of the matter as stating that the new models will, like the current generation iPhones, come in two sizes, 4.7″ and 5.5″, and will feature Apple’s Force Touch technology.

Force Touch, a feature of the Apple Watch, can distinguish between a light tap and a deep press, which Apple states triggers “access to a range of contextually specific controls”.

As for what other features Apple may introduce in the new models, it is expected the next-gen iPhones will be powered by Apple’s new A9 processor, while 9to5Mac has reported sources as stating that Apple will be upgrading to a 12 MP rear camera, with 4K video recording also on the cards.

So, what else will Apple potentially be unveiling at the event?

There have been suggestions of new iPads along with the next-gen Apple TV.

Apple last year unveiled its iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in October, however there have been suggestions new iPad offerings could also be on their way in September. Could Apple’s long-rumoured 12.9″ display iPad Pro make an appearance?

Meanwhile, BuzzFeed has previously reported multiple sources as stating Apple TV is a part of Apple’s plans for the event.
