40% Of iPhone Users Plan To Buy The New SE

Apple is less than 24 hours from launching its third-generation iPhone SE, and it seems that close to 40 per cent of users plan to buy one of the budget phones as their daily driver as a backup device, or as a gift.

This is according to data from SellCell, who surveyed 2,549 iPhone users.

40 per cent of the total stated that they would purchase the iPhone SE 3 2022 either for themselves or for someone else. This 40 per cent is split between 24 per cent who plan to use it as their main phone, and 16 per cent who plan to use it as a back-up device or as a gift.

Price is the most obvious attraction, attracting 30 per cent of potential buyers. Other reasons include upgrading from an old handset (25.5 per cent), 5G capabilities (15.2 per cent), its compact form factor (11.3 per cent), and for the retro Touch ID home button (6.7 per cent).

The iPhone SE 3 will offer a faster chip, 5G support, and improved camera function, with a design similar to the iPhone 8.

We’ll find out more tomorrow.
