Aussie Games Developer A Hit At Apple’s Big US Event

Aussie Games Developer A Hit At AppleMelbourne-based Hipster Whale developer Andy Sum took the stage to talk about his company’s Crossy Road online game, in which the user helps weird looking characters cross the road without being run over.

Sum revealed that Crossy Road would be immediately available for play on the new Apple TV, now set up for game-playing and other apps, as well as for sending video material from a computer to a living room television.

Sum said Hipster Whale had looked at how it could implement Apple TV’s new remote control. “One player can use the remote to move around, swipe to move sideways and hop forwards,” he said.

“We had a lot of fun making the game and it was really nice to see everyone laughing today [at the Apple San Francisco event].”
