Tineco has expanded its premium floorcare range in Australia with the launch of the new edition FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro, bringing longer battery life, quieter operation and upgraded steam cleaning technology to its flagship wet and dry floor cleaner.

Designed for households seeking a powerful clean without relying on cleaning chemicals, the latest S9 Artist Steam Pro uses upgraded boiler technology to generate super-heated steam at 230°C. The system combines steam with electrolysed water disinfection to tackle sticky spills, grime and everyday household mess while providing a more hygienic approach to hard-floor cleaning.

One of the biggest additions is Reverse Scrub Mode, a targeted cleaning function developed for stubborn marks that can be difficult to remove during a regular floor clean. When activated, the brush reverses its rotation for 14 seconds, concentrating its scrubbing action over the affected area.

The feature is intended to tackle everything from dried food spills and muddy paw prints to sticky craft materials. By changing the direction of the brush rotation, the cleaner increases friction against the floor and reduces the need to repeatedly move the machine backwards and forwards over the same spot or resort to manual scrubbing.

Battery performance has also received a significant upgrade. The FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro offers up to 110 minutes of run time, giving users greater scope to clean larger areas of the home without stopping for a recharge.

Noise has been another focus of the new edition. Quiet Mode operates at approximately 69dB, making it suitable for households where cleaning needs to fit around work, children or different daily schedules. The FlashDry self-cleaning system also includes an upgraded Silent Mode operating at approximately 40dB.

“Today’s launch of the FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro showcases our commitment to leading the steam revolution as we continue to deliver new cleaning innovations to Australia’s floorcare category,” said Jade Tang, Country Manager for Tineco ANZ.

“We’ve spoken to Australian consumers and know that run time, noise and reliance on harsh chemicals are frustrations and concerns that can stand in the way of effortless deep cleaning. The new edition S9 Artist Steam Pro has been engineered to address all three, giving Australians greater power, flexibility and confidence that the floors throughout their shared living spaces are hygienically clean.”

Tang said the introduction of Quiet Mode and improvements to the FlashDry self-cleaning system were also driven by the different ways Australians use their homes.

“Whether you’re an early riser or a parent with light-sleeping children, cleaning should be able to happen when it works for your household. Quiet Mode and the upgraded Silent Mode for FlashDry are designed to provide that flexibility. It reflects our focus on engineering products around the real cleaning needs of consumers as we continue to advance the wet and dry floor cleaner category.”

Alongside its new functions, the S9 Artist Steam Pro incorporates a collection of Tineco’s established floorcare technologies. Its iLoop Smart Sensor detects dirt levels in real time and automatically adjusts suction and water flow according to cleaning conditions.

Tineco’s MHCBS Technology continuously rinses the brush roller with clean water during use, helping prevent dirty water from being redistributed across the floor. HyperStretch Technology combines a 180-degree lay-flat design with a slim 12.85cm profile, allowing the cleaner to reach beneath beds, sofas and other low furniture.

SmoothDrive Technology uses omni-directional smart drive wheels to adjust the speed of the left and right wheels independently, helping the machine turn more smoothly and requiring less effort to manoeuvre.

The cleaner also provides triple-sided edge cleaning for areas along skirting boards and room edges, while its DualBlock Anti-Tangle Design helps collect hair and pet fur without clogging the brush. An integrated LED headlight improves visibility when cleaning underneath furniture and in darker spaces.

The launch builds on Tineco’s broader position in the international floorcare market. Euromonitor International has recognised Tineco as the world’s No. 1 household wet and dry vacuum cleaner brand for four consecutive years. The company’s products are used by more than 24 million households and are available across approximately 30 countries and regions, including Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe and markets throughout Asia.

Tineco has also ranked as the No. 1 wet and dry floor cleaner brand on Amazon in Australia, the United States, Canada, France, Italy and Japan for three consecutive years.

Product design remains a major focus for the company. Tineco sits within the Top 50 companies worldwide in the iF Design Ranking 2022-2026 and has received 19 iF Design awards. Its wet and dry floor cleaner range has also been recognised in the Good Housekeeping 2026 Cleaning Awards for “Multifaceted Floor Vacuum”, alongside a number of product and innovation accolades from IFA 2025 and CES 2026.

The company says these achievements are underpinned by more than two decades of research and development in home cleaning technology. Tineco holds 975 patents and 577 registered trademarks globally.
