YouTube Adds Listening Control Feature

YouTube is continuing its attempt to take a bite out of Apple Music and Spotify’s market share, this time by bringing listening controls to all videos on its Android and iOS apps.

You can access the controls via the settings menu, although they appear to be only available to Premium subscribers.

The controls are pretty basic, and really shouldn’t be touted as a ‘Premium’ feature: it’s literally a play, pause, previous, and next buttons, with 10-second rewind/fast forward.

Still, some casual users might to swayed to pay for these revolutionary features – but it’s doubtful this will move the needle at all.
