The Block Exposes Fisher & Paykel

The Chinese vendor has partnered up with The Good Guys, one of The Block’s sponsors, to showcase its appliances in this ‘glasshouse’ season of the program, says Kara May, Marketing Manager for Fisher & Paykel.
Fisher & Paykel’s designed-to-match kitchen appliances will be viewed by millions on the TV series The Block on Channel Nine. 
The first episode of the show premiered at the end of July to a mass audience of 1.3 million. It is the second year in a row F&P have partnered with The Good Guys, and was “very pleased” with with the good exposure on The Block, a spokesperson said. 
The partnership comes as the appliances market gets massive in Australia, with more high end, premium white goods in demand than before. 
Other brands supporting The Good Guys sponsorship of The Block include include Electrolux, Samsung Curved UHD TV and Breville.  
Contestants buy appliances – based on styling, performance, value and how they add to their interior concept – from brands sold by sponsoring retailers. 
Last season, The Block contestants Brad and Dale chose Fisher & Paykel for both kitchen and laundry and used Fisher & Paykel’s appliance-in-a-drawer-CoolDrawer and DishDrawer and the ‘designed to match’ kitchen appliances,” says May.  

The Good Guys are also running a Facebook campaign to promote its sponsorship of the reality TV hit show with competitions giving away bonus prizes.
