Demand from Australians for tickets in the $2.9 billion dollar US lottery has crashed the Lottery Office site
According to sources hundreds of thousands of Australians have attempted to splash tens of thousands of dollars buying up tickets in the US Power Lottery.
The Lottery Office site was supposed to be back up online by 7.00am but it’s still down at 8.30am after crashing 13 hours earlier.

A message on the Lottery Office site reads ‘Due to the high demand for tickets in the world record $2.9B USA Power Lotto draw we are experiencing some technical issues.
Our web site and app are currently not available, and our team is working around the clock to get this resolved.
The Company has not said where their servers are located or what Cyber Security measures they have in place.
The business which is located in the Northern Territory also sells tickets to lotteries in other jurisdictions including Europe, The UK, and Italy.
