RGB apps are known for cluttering majority of gaming PCs and now Windows 11 could have a solution, a feature through Build 23475, called Dynamic Lighting.
It was announced recently and will be able to unify all the different apps and devices using RGB lighting, meaning users won’t have to jump between several apps.
Microsoft will do this through open HID LampArray standard, which will make it compatible with many devices. The company have stated it has partnerships with Acer, Asus, HP, HyperX, Logitech, Razer, and Twinkly in order to support Dynamic Lighting.
Users should then be able to sync lighting across supported RGB devices, and choose which app they want controlling the lighting.
At the moment, the feature is only with Windows Insiders, as it hasn’t been perfected yet. Microsoft claim some wireless peripherals are having issues, and it recommends Insiders use a wired connection.
Microsoft are aiming to continue adding support for devices throughout the remainder of the year.
