Wimbledon 2025 Unveils AI-Powered ‘Match Chat’ and Enhanced Win Predictions App
As Wimbledon 2025 approaches, tennis fans worldwide will have access to new AI-powered features introduced by the All England Lawn Tennis Club and IBM to provide more interactive match insights.
Launching alongside the tournament, which runs from June 30 to July 13, the highlight is the debut of ‘Match Chat’ – an AI assistant integrated into the Wimbledon app and website.
Powered by IBM’s watsonx platform, Match Chat lets fans ask real-time questions during singles matches.

The AI responds instantly, drawing on match data and a language model trained specifically on Wimbledon’s editorial style and tennis terminology.
In addition, the ‘Likelihood to Win’ tool has been upgraded. This feature, built on IBM’s software Red Hat Openshift, provides continuously updated win probabilities based on player stats, expert insights, and momentum shifts throughout each game.
This year’s Wimbledon tournament will feature Australians including world No. 11 Alex de Minaur, rising female star Maya Joint, and Alexei Popyrin, a strong contender in the men’s singles.
