Vodafone has added the role of trouble-shooter to its technology operations team. No one has been specifically appointed to the role which Vodafone says will help streamline incident management across the various internal and external business streams.

Vodafone has suffered a number of mobile outages this year, despite efforts to improve its connectivity across the country.

The Mobile Network Experience Report found the telco, along with Optus, provided better services and latency than Telstra.

Vodafone was at pains to point out that the position was not an executive-level appointment, as reported in some other IT news sites.
