Vincent Bringing Sub-$1000 CD Player To Aus

German high end audio brand Vincent Audio has a new compact hybrid CD player on the way to join its compact SV-200 amp in providing a quality hi-fi offering for under $1000.

The CD-200 hybrid player is expected to arrive in Australia later this month for A$999, according to local distributor Fundamental Audio.

The hybrid player uses a Burr-Brown PCM176 chip to convert digital signals to analogue and two 6N1 tubes, similar to Vincent’s SV-200 amp, a hybrid integrated tube amplifier that also retails for A$999.

Vincent pitches the two products as the perfect pairing to provide warm natural sound out of digital formats.

The SV-200 stereo amp claims a frequency response of 20 Hz – 20kHz and pushes 25 watts per channel at 8 ohms.

It takes two RCA inputs and two digital, an optical and a coaxial.
