Samsung Australia have unveiled new line of 3D-enabled LED monitors here meaning 3D vision is yours – for a lot less.

The unleashed 3D LED’s with 120Hz output include the SA 9 series, which come in 23″ and 27″ options and 27″ TA 9 Smart TV.

SA 9 series monitors comes in 23″ ($699) and 27″ ($549) sizes, full HD 1920×1080 resolution and “hyper-realistic” 3D playback and built-in glasses sync emitter.

And it will also convert 2D to 3D content from a PC, “compatible” Blu-ray players, consoles and set-top boxes. The accompanying 3D active-shutter glasses support full HD picture quality.
However, these are strictly monitors only so don’t allow TV connection.
However, the SA 9’s also boasts a brightness adjuster ‘eco light’ feature which automatically fixes the brightness on the LED screen based on room lighting, and will also turn on or off by itself, as users leave or enter a room.

The slimline sets are stylish with a metallic-silver finish and eye catching asymmetrical design.
The TA27950 (pictured) is a full 3D Smart TV with identical 1920×1080 res screen and 2D to 3D converter as SA 9 but with a built-in TV tuner, bringing 3DTV content to the small screen (Samsung’s 40″ Smart 3D TV’s retail for around $1300+).

The 27″ Samsung also has high end sound – with 2X 7W Dolby Digital speakers, SRS TheaterSound HD, DTS 2.0 / 3D sound.

It also boasts a slew of connections: 2X HDMI, USB and cable inputs as well as Samsung’s ‘AllShare’ and ‘ConnectShare’ features which allow users to sync ‘n share content with other DLNA-enabled devices.

The Internet functions allow social networking, with links to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and free and paid- for apps by the thousands from Samsung Apps store through Smart Hub.

The TA27950 wide viewing angle (170°/160°) provides “undiminished brightness and colour from almost any position.”

Costing $799 RRP, the small Smart TV comes in high glossy black and funky asymmetrical design.

“With the growing amount of 3D content now available from TV to movies to gaming, enthusiasts and developers are demanding high functionality and capability when it comes to monitors,” said Emmanuele Silanesu, Head of IT, Samsung.
