Yahoo7 To Stream On Xbox One
Yahoo7 today announced a new content distribution agreement that allows Australian Xbox owners access to PLUS7’s content directly from the console.


PLUS7 catch-up TV service available as a dedicated application on Xbox One available from 3 September 2014. 


Using the Plus7 app, Xbox One owners will be able to access their favourite Channel 7 programs like “X-Factor”, “My Kitchen Rules” and “Home & Away” via their console. 

Catch up TV is hotting up in Australia – Ten recently said it had 1 million downloads of its catchupTV app, tenplay. 

Caroline Casey, Yahoo7 Director of Product and Audience said, “At Yahoo7 we’re focused on making our premium content available wherever and whenever users want. This new partnership with Xbox builds on a strategy that allows PLUS7 to reach a new audience of Xbox One owners.” 

PLUS7 is averaging 6.5 million streams every month across web, mobile, tablet and devices. 

A Seven spokesperson would not confirm if the app is headed to more platforms. however. 

Seven says the app is Australia’s leading catch-up TV service, although Channel Ten says its catch-up app, tenplay, was the top catch up TV app in July with 1.4m unique visitors. 

Masterchef with 18.1 million view and Offspring, Puberty Blues were cited as among the most popular catch up shows for ten. However, the recent Commonwealth Games, which were streamed on the app are likely to have played a part in the user spike. 

Ten were not available for comment at the time of writing.
