Uniden has announced reinforcements to its Australian security camera range including the first outdoor wire-free pan and tilt surveillance system under the App Cam range to be released at the beginning of next year.

Introducing three new models, Uniden is beefing up its selection of home security cameras with the Guardian App Cam Solo PT for $349.95, the Solo Bullet at $249.95 and the Floodlight (no pricing confirmed), coming January 2020.

The Guardian App Cam Solo PT is Australia’s first completely wire-fire, pan and tilt, rechargeable, solar-powered, home security camera that offers an ultra-wide viewing angle and greater installation flexibility and positioning.

Completely remote controlled via the Uniden app, users can monitor their security cameras whether they are home or not.

Boasting App Cam Solo+ features, the Guardian security camera can detect body heat and movements to minimise false alarms through its Thermo Sense Technology, as well as a Two Way Talk function for intelligent alerts and notifications.

Starlight Night Vision offers more clarity and clearer vision at night, while the included solar panels ensure non-stop power during daylight hours.

Uniden claims the 6500mAh battery will last all night long after a full day of solar charge.

Depending on your use case, footage can either be stored directly to an SD card or uploaded to the Uniden Cloud for online playback.

Users receive seven days of free cloud backup with the option of upgrading to a higher plan later on.

Plus all Uniden cameras come with a two-year Australian warranty for peace of mind insurance.

Also introduced is the App Cam Solo Bullet, a smaller version of the Solo+ camera range with all the same features like voice control and a solar panel for continuous power supply to its 5200mAh battery, which will also last all night long.

Finally, we end with the App Cam Floodlight, a Full HD, weatherproof power camera with a 2,500 lumen light source that can be dimmed via the app to suit its environment.

Night vision and a 135-degree viewing angle ensure a greater area of visibility around your home, as well as Uniden’s Thermo Sense Technology for heat and movement detection.

All three newly announced Uniden security cameras are also Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa ready, meaning they will slot right into any connected home set up without a fuss.
