Eat Sleep Run Repeat: Up24 Hits OZ $179

Eat Sleep Run Repeat: Up24 Hits OZ $179It will be hitting stores next week, including Dick Smith, Harvey Norman and JB Hi Fi for $179 and ships globally from Jawbone online.

UP24 helps you understand how you sleep, move and eat daily, and provides insight on how to live better in ‘real time’ via UP Insights Engine, say its makers, Jawbone.

UP24 band is connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth Smart, helping you achieve fitness goals.

It also has mood, sleep and diet tracking, idle alerts, alarms, workouts, and gives user insights into what they’re doing with their day. It connects with apps like Fitkeeper, and My Fitness Pal.
It also tells us other quirky facts like, how caffeine intake affects our sleep, how many calories burned, and could even embarrass us into seeing how much crap we eat.
UP24 comes in Small, Medium and Large sizes. The light rubber band is splash resistant, tri-axis accelerometer, “up to” 7 days of battery life, and charges in around 80 minutes via USB. It comes in orange and black.

It is compatible with  iPhone 4s, iPod Touch, iPad 3rd gen, iPad Mini and Android 4.3 devices and above.

Dick Smith’s ‘fashtronics’ Move store also confirmed it be selling the device early next week. Costing $179, UP24 is $70 less than Samsung’s new gear fitness devices Gear Fit and Neo, which cost $249 although the Gear’s are a bit more mobile friendly, and have touchscreens.
