Telstra TV Adds Foxtel Play

Telstra has added support for and integration with Foxtel’s Foxtel Play service ahead of Christmas

It joins local services Stan, iView, 9NOW and SBS On-Demand as well as global content giant Netflix.

The company says “The arrival of Foxtel Play comes as Telstra TV reaches a milestone of over 600,000 devices in homes across the country. Since the launch in October 2015, the content library on Telstra TV has grown to 27 apps including the newly announced Netball app coming soon, where fans can enjoy two live games on Telstra TV exclusively.”

Subscribers can access Foxtel’s premium sport, movies, drama, kids, docos and lifestyle programming live or via Foxtel Anytime (on-demand) directly or through a new search feature allows users to search for content across all five free-to-air catch up apps, BigPond Movies and Stan.

According to Michele Garra, Telstra Media’s Executive Director of Media, “We know that our customers want great quality content that’s simple and easy to discover and enjoy.”

“The addition of Foxtel Play and the new search functionality demonstrates our commitment to combining great content with simple and beautiful customer experiences on Telstra TV – the fastest growing streaming device in the country,” she said.

Existing and new Telstra customers can purchase Telstra TV outright for only $109 RRP.
